Rising Star
Zane graduated from the Atlanta Roffler Hairstyling Academy in 2009. Zane is a licensed cosmetologist working as an assistant through the Rising Star Program through Medalyn. Zane is certified in Balmain fusion hair extensions and his craft for hair coloring, cutting and styling makes him a valuable asset to Medalyn. Zane continually strives to expand his education to be the absolute best at his passion. Zane’s shampoo experience and zesty personality is just a taste of the full experience that you will receive as a salon guest of Zane’s.
Melissa
Master I
Melissa graduated from the Atlanta Roffler Hair Styling College in 2008. Since graduating Melissa has excelled perfectly and is definitely a skilled artist. Melissa went through the assistant program and quickly transitioned into the Rising Star level within Medalyn. After remaining true to her craft and gaining many continuing education classes, Melissa landed herself a position at the Master I level. Melissa is very passionate and a great listener when it comes to her guests needs. She strives to constantly learn new techniques so that she stays cutting edge when her guests ask for classic to modern cuts and color. Melissa’s talent and sweet disposition are the elements that keep her guests coming back for more.
Kayla
Master I
Kayla graduated from the Atlanta Roffler Hairstyling College in . Since graduating, Kayla has been a natural behind the chair. Kayla went through the assistant program within Medalyn and quickly transitioned into the Rising Star level with much passion and talent for doing hair. Kayla’s desire for continuing education earned Kayla her wings within the Master I level at Medalyn. Kayla enjoys her guests very much and thrives to stay ahead of her education so that she can offer her guests the latest trends in color and haircutting. Kayla’s sweet spirit is a gift that she loves sharing with all of her guest.
Kris
Master I
Kris is a certified cosmetologist. She started perfecting her craft in 2000 as an apprentice at an Aveda Concept Salon. Kris finished her education in Oregon where she received certificates in Hair Design, Esthetics and Nail Technology. Kris specializes in curly and coarse hair. She is well educated in eccentric hair color and cutting edge hair design. Scissors are no match for Kris. She is extremely precise with perms, color and relaxers. Kris strives to keep her guests up to date on the latest trends and styles. Kris prides herself on her thorough consultations, amazing scalp massages, her guests shampoo experience and her education session with each of her guests on how to maintain their hair at home.
Heidi
Master II
Heidi received her Master Cosmetologist License in the state of Kansas at the Xenon International School of Hair Design in 1998. Heidi is trained and highly skilled in updo’s, make-up, hair color and highlighting techniques as well as a craft for hair cutting and design. Heidi is also certified in Balmain Fusion Hair Extensions. Heidi’s extensive education background makes her sharp in her craft as well as her experience. Her specialties include fine hair, highlights, color, updo’s and make up artistry. As a mother of 2 small children Heidi enjoys travelling and spending time with her family when she is not behind the chair.
Faith
Master I
Faith began her love of hair crafting at the young age of 15. Faith began her Cosmetology career at Chattahoochee Technical College and after working her way through a 2 year program, she was licenced as a Cosmetologist in 2005. Faith has been affiliated with Aveda for many years and received in depth training from a top of the line Aveda Concept Salon in the Atlanta area. Faith is trained and skilled in hair cuts, color, relaxers and perms. Fortunately, Faith calls Medalyn home and her love of hair cutting and coloring is evident in her guests as they leave her feeling pampered and incredible! Faith prides herself in “making that connection” with her guests by performing a thorough consultation before every service, so the desired design or color is achieved every time!
Britteny
Owner / Master II
Britteny was born and raised in Georgia but felt the need for travel. She attended college in Tennessee, Washington and California but was eager to return home to Georgia. Britteny holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration. She began her cosmetology journey in Costa Mesa, California at the Paul Mitchell School where she trained under Hollywood star stylists and then later graduated from Roffler Hairstyling College in Georgia. Britteny has an extensive list of continuing color and haircutting classes that she has attended through the Aveda Education Program. Britteny’s specialty is hair color with a deep love for finding that “perfect shade of blonde”. Britteny loves meeting new people and she also loves taking people on the journey of making them feel beautiful. Britteny has always dreamed of owning her own salon and in 2008 her dream was born. Medalyn Salon and Medspa was Britteny’s dream and now it is a reality.
Irina
Esthetician / Skin Care Therapist
Born in Siberia, Russia, Irina pursued a Masters Degree in Engineering and Business in Moscow, Russia at Moscow University. In 2007 Irina moved to the United States and graduated from the elite International School of Skincare. After graduating, Irina began her career in the Esthetics field by landing a job at Dior, one of the top cosmetic lines in the United States. Irina pursued her passion by undergoing extensive training in makeup and developing her knowledge to the highest degree by taking numerous skin care classes while working at Dior. Irina now fully Aveda trained, practices her passion by offering her guests a wide array of esthetic services, chemical peels, microdermabrasion treatments and waxing services. Irina prides herself on the experience that her guest receives while in her hands. Irina’s goal is to ensure that her guests receive the most comfortable and pleasurable experience she can offer them by getting to know her guests personally and by holding a thorough consulation with all of her guests before her service begins. Irina’s talent for skin care and makeup truly makes Irina a wonderful asset to Medalyn and to her guests.
Michael
Massage Therapist
Micheal is a certified and licensed massage therapist. He practices Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Prenatal and Arthritic Massage. Michael has been practicing massage therapy for 14 years and is a graduate of Atlanta School of Massage where he also returned to instruct in 2004 and 2005. Michael currently resides in Marietta with his newlywed wife, Stephanie, her two boys Jeremy and Jared and is awaiting a third child this Spring.
Mallory
Massage Therapist
Mallory is a graduate of Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health where she became certified in Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Chair Massage and Reflexology. After graduating, she became certified by the NCBTMB. Mallory is passionate about optimal health. Having issues herself at a very young age, she became tired of being medicated by unsympathetic physicians. Once yoga became a permanent act in Mallory’s lifestyle, she became increasingly aware of herself and became introduced to natural and alternative remedies. As Mallory began to seek the help of a Medical Intuitive, she began to feel better physically, emotionally and mentally. Her Medical Intuitive helped her realize that she too had the gift of healing intuitively and urged her to pursue it. Mallory chose the path of Massage Therapy and realized that she had found her calling in life.
